Staking Fixture
This tool was also built to assemble automotive glove compartment subassemblies. The design was based
on adapting an existing air press to perform the desired crimping function. Air logic controls were used to coordinate the air press
with the positioning cylinder (shown overhanging the right side). A cycle consists of positioning the component and then crimping the
latch component on a steel shaft.
Stamping Fixture
This pneumatically actuated fixture uses a cam and follower mechanism to apply a rubber stamp
on a work surface and re-ink the stamp at the end of the cycle.
